On April 2nd, the Harvard Law School Project on Disability and the East Asian Legal Studies Program hosted Olympian Michelle Kwan and Special Olympian Melissa Reilly in a wide-ranging conversation about ahtletics, Olympic spirit and the power of inclusion in sports, with HPOD Faculty Director, William Alford, moderating the conversation.

Professor Alford began the session recounting the variety of ways that Special Olympics helps it's community of athletes, detailing how the assistance it provides reaches far beyond the Games.

Kwan, the most decorated figure skater in U.S. history, spoke about her start in skating, sharing anecdotes about her family and background as well as her long-standing work with Special Olympics.

Reilly, a medalist in Alpine Skiing, spoke passionaitely about what Special Olympics has meant to her.
